Welcoming event for the VIEROL employees in the new logistic center on December 1, 2005
Speech given by Mr Viertelhaus, CEO.
Dear members of staff,
a warm welcome for everybody! It is a great pleasure for me to be able to welcome you here in the name of the Board of Management and the Supervisory Body.We have invited some guests to our inhouse celebration and so I am pleased to welcome
Mr Ole Ritter from northern Australia. Mr Ritter is our new supplier for a very interesting range of quality products, which we will market worldwide under our trade mark VAICO through our network. I am convinced of the success of this partnership.
Mr Ritter, you have come half was round the world to visit us here today and I would like to wish a particularly warm welcome to you. I very much hope that you are able to gather some positive impressions of our business, our town and its surroundings and pass them on when you return home.
A very warm welcome, too, for Mr Reisinger from the Deutsche Bahn AG in Munich, who is visiting us today for the first time. Mr Reisinger will get detailed information on our quality products and delivery program to see how successful we do our business.
I am very pleased to have Mr Dieter Decker here today, the mayor of Rastede, who has just returned from South Africa. He will speak to you in a few minutes. Dear Dieter, thank you very much for being our guest today.
Today, I would like to present the new logistic center to our staff, which will be opened at the beginning of January. Especially, I would like to say thank you to all of you for the hard work that has been done during the last month. It was a very exhausting time, you did a great job! Thus, I am convinced that we will manage the last part successfully, the final move-in.
At this point, I would like to introduce Mr Schlag to you as the new manager of the logistic center. Mr Schlag, you have been doing an excellent job for many years working for VIEROL and have our full confidence for this responsible position. We wish you good luck and great success.
The most essential thing is a highly motivated and dedicated, loyal staff. That is the reason why we are celebrating today, before the official opening of the new logistic center.
For a company of our size we have been, over the last 10 years, very successful doing business on the international market.
We started doing business 29 years ago. The business then developed representing well-known spare part suppliers and establishing our own sales operation worldwide. Currently we have business connections in 115 countries and have created our own quality trade marks VAICO autoparts and VEMO auto electric. This would not have been possible without committed and hard working staff. As a result of this 43 new long-term jobs have been created in the last 3 years.
We have now made a name of ourselves as leading specialists in our area having an excellent image and a strong competitive basis for expansion the next years. It is a great achievement for us as a medium sized family business in a fast moving globalised world which is only possible thanks to great efforts and investments.
We will continue to invest in new jobs and training courses over the next years.
Be proud to be an important part of this business. And so let us celebrate our successes and I wish you all a very enjoyable day!
